Bahar Özseymen (n. 1989, Istanbul) is a self-taught visual artist based in San Francisco, shaped by years of living in Istanbul and Amsterdam. She works primarily with acrylic on paper and canvas, with gouache, watercolor, and acrylic markers or pen appearing in both portrait and abstract pieces.

Before focusing on her studio practice, she spent several years in global marketing and brand roles for international retail companies. Across her ongoing People series and developing color studies, she uses one-line drawing, limited palettes, and simple constraints as practical tools to loosen control and perfectionism and to treat painting as an evolving record of her life.

Her work has been featured in Talihsizlik Dergisi, an independent publication focused on culture, art, music, and literature, and lives in private collections in the Netherlands, Germany, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
