Series: Sun Republic
Sun Republic is an ongoing body of work shaped by my time in San Francisco since July 2025. It gathers impressions of coastal light, fog, nature and architecture from a life that feels both full and temporary.
Working with diluted acrylic on raw canvas, I allow colour to spread, fade and settle beyond my full control. The paintings hold moments of attention: a celebration of sun after years of Amsterdam grey, and an attempt to preserve the dream-like feeling of a chapter I know will eventually end.
Ongoing until my return to Europe in 2027.
